The Swiss Federal Railways SFR (Schweizerische Bundesbahnen AG – SBB) is the national railway company of Switzerland and operates a rail network of over 3,000 km. As part of the APFZ 2.0 retrofit project, SBB launched a tender for a touch HMI for the passenger information system in 2017, which ErvoCom won.
The Driver Machine Interface DMI2177 is a multi-purpose control head specifically for use in railway environments. The unit's design is extraordinarily robust and provides a capacitive color display and a non-reflecting glass surface. After the successful system acceptance test SAT in 2018, a total of 1’316 DMI2177s will be delivered up until 2023.
