Train Attendant Intercom TAI2197

The TAI2197 train attendant intercom terminal is not just an audio interface but also a comprehensive platform that makes it possible to control the passenger information system, to display CCTV video streams, to retrieve diagnostic data or to make announcements to passengers. By using TAI2197 a train attendant has a valuable tool of communication, by what he can inform the passengers in the best possible way. The locomotive driver can be relieved of his duties regarding passenger information activities.

The device has a 7-inch capacitive touch display, which is protected against scratches and external environmental influences by means of hardened cover glass. The integrated handset allows fast and easy communication with others. Regarding the audio interfaces special attention was paid on high noise suppression and good speech intelligibility. In addition to the front handset the device also has connectors for a gooseneck microphone and for an external loudspeaker. Additionally, a separate 3.5mm jack has been integrated that can be used for playing audio from an external device to the PA-System.

The control of the device is fully digital via the integrated LAN interface. Furthermore, the user interface of the device can be customized according the end user needs.
